A controversial herbicide put in the Lake George water eliminated an invasive species, according to Warren County environmentalists.
The chemical ProcellaCor killed water milfoil.
A video from the Warren County Soil and Conservation District showed what it looked like after the treatment in Sheep Meadow Bay and Blairs Bay. The conservation district said the video shows the milfoil plants brown and deteriorating and the native plants thriving.
The chemical was applied back in June, after pushback and a lawsuit from the public opposing its use.
