Hochul calls for New Yorkers to sign up for state donate life registry
Governor Kathy Hochul is calling on New Yorkers to sign up for the state’s donate life registry.
Hochul says more than 8,000 New Yorkers are waiting for a life-saving transplant right now.
April is National Donate Life month, highlighting the urgent demand for organ, eye, and tissue donors.
One organ donor can save up to eight lives and heal 75 more through eye and tissue donation.
Any New Yorker 16 and older is eligible to enroll in the registry.
