Hochul gets unfavorable rating in new poll

Gov. Kathy Hochul has an unfavorable rating in a new poll. The Siena poll found 40% view the governor favorably, while 45% see her as unfavorable.
It’s the first time more voters find the governor unfavorable.
More people surveyed think the recently passed budget will be good for the state, with an overwhelming majority favoring an increase in mental health funding.
There’s also strong support for giving judges more discretion to set bail.
