Hochul unveils first legislative proposal ahead of State of the State focusing on consumer predictions
Gov. Kathy Hochul on Tuesday unveiled her first proposal ahead of next week’s State of the State Address.
Hochul outlined her consumer protection and affordability agenda.
Proposals include changes to New York’s consumer laws to strengthen consumer protections against unfair business practices and the nation’s most wide-ranging proposal to eliminate co-pays for insulin.
Hochul also plans to introduce the first major increase in paid medical leave benefits in more than three decades.
