Gov. Hochul was in Glens Falls Tuesday, promising the state’s police chiefs that they’ll have the state funding they need to keep their communities safe.

Speaking at the Queensbury Hotel, Hochul told the State Association of Chiefs of Police that when others are talking about defunding police, her budget calls for increasing funding for local law enforcement.

Hochul says her budget includes $393 million for local police agencies, and another $227 million to address gun violence.
