Gov. Kathy Hochul has set free fishing days for 2024.

The free days are on Feb. 17 and 18 (President’s Day Weekend), the weekend of June 29 and June 30, National Hunting and Fishing Day on Sept. 28 and Veteran’s Day on Nov. 11.

This applies to any freshwater fishing in the state.
