Hochul signs bill for emergency home heating

New legislation signed by Gov. Hochul will now allow homeowners to lease liquid petroleum gas tanks so that they’re able to get an emergency delivery when they’re running low.

A qualifying emergency can be made by a federal, state, or local authorities.

Those include severe weather or circumstances where lack of heat could result in death, injury, or cause structural damage to a building.
