Homeless man charged in ShopRite robbery

A 24-year-old homeless man has been charged with robbery and assault after allegedly attacking a store clerk and stealing money from the ShopRite Fuel Center on Central Avenue in Colonie.
Police say Matthew Lora attacked a clerk, breaking the clerk’s nose and femur, before stealing money from the store at 10:30 Wednesday morning.
Police caught Lora on Sand Creek Road a short time later. He is now in Colonie police custody, pending a court appearance.
