Hoosick Falls man charged with rape

A Hoosick Falls man is accused of rape.

Jahn M. Ortiz, 24, allegedly had sexual contact with a child under the age of 17 in 2023 while in the town of Hoosick, State Police said.

Ortiz was arrested this past March for the alleged 2023 crime, and charged with two counts of rape and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

He was arraigned at Hoosick Falls Village Court and released on his own recognizance.
