The cause of a house fire in Pittsfield is under investigation.

The fire broke out Friday afternoon on Alcove Street.

Crews say there was heavy fire coming from a second-floor bedroom.

One man was home at the time.

He was brought to Berkshire Medical Center to be treated for smoke inhalation.

Four others who live at the house have been displaced.

No firefighters were injured.
