How to cast your vote in the upcoming election

We are less than a month away now from Election Day and NewsChannel 13 has the information you need before you head to the polls.

You still have time to register to vote. Your local board of elections must get your application in the mail no later than Saturday, October 26.

You can also register in person by that date.

There are also several ways to vote.

Early voting in New York state begins on October 26. It will continue through Sunday, November 3.

In Massachusetts, early voting begins Saturday, October 19 and continues through Friday, November 1.

You can check your county’s board of elections website for dates and locations for early voting.

Any registered voter may also apply for an early mail ballot. You can apply online, in person, or through the mail. Applications are due no later than 10 days before an election, so in this case, Saturday, October 26.

Your ballot will be sent immediately after your application is received and processed by your local board of elections.

Massachusetts expects to mail out early and absentee ballots this week.
