More details are coming to light about the suspect in the fire that destroyed a Hudson Falls apartment building.

Peter Lemery is charged with reckless endangerment. He’s accused of putting 15 people in the apartment building in danger.

He is not charged with arson at this point. However, he’s in jail without bail because of two prior felony convictions. 13 Investigates has learned that Lemery served two different prison terms. He served two years on drug charges and one to three years for criminal possession of stolen property.

The building on Maple Street was destroyed. The Red Cross is helping the 15 people who lost their homes.
