A Hudson Falls sex offender is accused of raping a minor.

Terrance Crawford, 38, was arrested by Saratoga Springs Police.

The investigation began after a complaint by the victim’s family. Crawford was having conversations with the child through social media apps, police said.

Crawford was convicted of third-degree rape in Warren County in 2015.

In this case, he was charged with second-degree rape and second-degree criminal sex act.

Crawford was classified as a Level 2 sex offender – deemed a moderate risk to reoffend.

He was arraigned in Saratoga Springs City Court and held on bail of $70,000 cash, $70,000 bond or $140,000 partially secured bond.

He is due back in court at a later date.
