Hudson Police are still looking for a 63-year-old man after a search on Thursday found nothing.

Robert J. Coons, 63, was last seen on July 6 in the area of 325 Columbia St.

The Hudson Police Department, New York State Police, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and Amtrak Police conducted a large-scale multi-agency search about 2 miles north and south of the Hudson boat launch. However, the search did not find anything.

Coons is a white male who was last seen wearing blue jeans and dark blue T-shirt. Police have been looking for him since July 9 after receiving a call from a relative that they hadn’t been in contact with him for several days.

Coons was living in the Schodack area, but traveled to Hudson for an appointment. The Hudson Falls Police Department was able to confirm that he did make it to his appointment.

Patrol officers and detectives checked several known locations that Coons would frequent when he visited Hudson. They also have conducted interviews, obtained search warrants and followed up on numerous leads.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact 518-828-3388 or 518-828-9900.
