A teacher at Ichabod Crane High School who has been donating blood since he was 17 years old. He tries to donate every six weeks when he can.
He told us blood donation is about giving back to those who need it most.
Over his 40 years of donation, Farley said he has donated almost 80 pints. That’s nearly 10 gallons.
Meantime, our most recent NewsChannel 13-American Red Cross Save A Life Blood Drive on Thursday collected 179 units of blood, which will help 537 people.
Hear Farley talk about why he donates so often by watching the video of photojournalist Justin Shumway’s story.
