The Ichabod Central School District said it investigated a report of potential violence at the middle school, which was was found to be unsubstantiated. A middle school student saw information on social media that they perceived as a threat.

The threat is similar to other spam threats that are circulating throughout school communities across multiple states, according to a message from Superintendent of Schools Marie Digirolamo.

The East Greenbush Central School District also alerted parents to an unspecified threat of school violence that was on the social media platform TikTok. It did not originate locally nor has the district or any specific schools been targeted.

Superintendent of Schools Jeffrey Simons said the school district was informing the public because students have been talking about.

Police patrols have been increased. All the information that the school resource officers have collected is being forwarded to the New York State Intelligence Center, according to Simons.
