Public input sought on ideas to reimagine 787

Public input sought on ideas to reimagine 787. Some ideas include burying the highway that separates the city of Albany from the river.

The public has the opportunity to weigh in on the future of 787.

The Department of Transportation has unveiled its first round of ideas to redesign the highway.

The options range from general maintenance to moving the highway underground. DOT said those plans carry a price tag of anywhere from $2 billion to $7 billion and would take about 10 years to complete.

Other proposals including moving the Dunn Memorial Bridge and replacing 787 with lower-speed roads.
