Inaugural Red, White and Brew Festival offers food, live music
The Red, White and Brew Festival is happening this Saturday in front of MVP Arena.
The event begins at 2 p.m. and features live music, about 30 vendor booths, craft beers and other activities. Local country band favorite Skeeter Creek will kick off the day. Soldier and singer Craig Morgan will headline the event, with special guest Darryl Worley.

MVP Arena General Manager Bob Belber said the idea for this festival came about because Albany County Executive Dan McCoy and MVP Health Care wanted to do something impactful for active military personnel and veterans.
Music brings people together and they will have a great food, according to Belber.
“We have brisket, pulled pork and barbecue, all kinds of craft beer. It’s going to be a really fun time, and it’s free,” he said.
Scott Leslie, director of the Albany County Veterans Affairs Office, said it is good exposure for veterans’ causes.
“It’s given my office a really good opportunity to re-engage and develop new community partners that are supportive within the veteran space,” he said. “And this event not only gives us opportunity to pay tribute to those that are no longer with us, it gives us an opportunity to honor the services members, the veterans in our community and also the supporting family members.”
