A new initiative aims to help children who’ve recently emigrated to the Capital Region from Ukraine.

Kelly’s Angels, a charity started by NewsChannel 13’s Mark Mulholland, introduced Hugs for Ukraine on Tuesday.

Local schools, churches and individuals are encouraged to nominate Ukrainian families with children – who are now living in the Capital Region because of the war – for a one-time grant.
