Investigators say man hit on train tracks was 3x too drunk to drive

The man allegedly driving drunk when his car was hit by a train was more than three times the legal limit for intoxication.

The man allegedly driving drunk when his car was hit by a train on Wednesday evening was more than three times too drunk to drive, according to investigators.

Kyle Jacobson blew a .26%, Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple said. The legal limit for DWI is .08%.

Jacobson was arrested after he got his car stuck on the train tracks near North Main Street and Grove Street in Voorheesville, the sheriff said.

The car was then hit by a train, but Jacobson was not hurt, the sheriff said.

Jacobson was arrested, and charged with DWI.
