Police: Dead body had been in Rotterdam home for months

The body of a woman found in a home at 1726 Greenport Avenue last Friday had been there for several months, police said.
They were called to the home to check on the welfare of Skylar Pettit, 24.
Police arrived and found her dead inside the home, they said.
Pathologists found that she died of natural causes, several months ago.
Police are investigating why no one was notified of her death, they said.
