Iowa seeks ‘payback’ against LSU in upcoming March Madness 2023 rematch

Record-breaking crowds of near 14,000 people have already filled MVP Arena in Albany for March Madness over the weekend. The same is expected Monday for the Regional Final between the Iowa Hawkeyes and LSU Tigers.

It’s a rematch of last year’s national championship game, where the Hawkeyes lost.

No championship rings will be handed out this time around between Iowa and LSU. However, a trip to the Final Four in Cleveland is on the line.

Again, all eyes are on Caitlin Clark. Through the NCAA tournament, including here in the Capital Region, a lot of the focus has been on Clark chasing an all-time scoring record.

The game begins at 7 p.m. tonight.
