Johnstown man accused of having child pornography

A Johnstown man is accused of possessing child pornography.

Scott T. Simmons, 56, was charged with possessing a sexual performance by a child and promotion of a sexual performance by a child, State Police said.

Simmons was arraigned in Johnstown City Court and sent to Fulton County Jail in lieu of bail of $1,000 cash, $30,000 bond or $80,000 partially secured bond.

The arrest was one of six that stemmed from a joint investigation by State Police and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office in the town of Florida.
