Former congressional candidate Liz Joy will not be running for a third bid for the 20th Congressional District.

Joy was one of Democrat Paul Tonko’s most outspoken opponents.

Joy said she plans on pivoting her attention to advocate for state-level election integrity.

She said in a Facebook post, “Our country and state are not secure.”

She also said that she will be redirecting her remaining campaign funds to the Harvest Church Distribution Center in Clifton Park.
