Jumpin’ Jacks hosts fireworks after near cancellation

The fireworks at Jumpin’ Jacks in Scotia are set for Friday evening. The popular event was almost cancelled.

Safety concerns from a lack of staffing and finances created a conversation around calling off the fireworks this year.

However, the village board was able to pass a resolution that ensured the show could go on safely.
