A jury has been seated in the trial of a man accused of killing a Watervliet man last year.

Kerdel Young is charged with second-degree murder in the February 2023 death of Anthony Dias, in Albany’s Pine Hills neighborhood.

Young shot Dias multiple times in the middle of the afternoon, investigators said. Dias died at the scene.

The incident was recorded by cameras in the area, according to police. That helped them find Young, they said.

Opening statements are set to begin on Tuesday.
