Jury selection underway in Green Island child sex assault trial

Jury selection was underway Monday in the trial of John Ferrara, a man accused of sexually assaulting a child at an unlicensed daycare in Green Island.
Ferrara’s girlfriend operated the business from her home on River View Drive. Police say she allowed Ferrara to sexually assault a young girl multiple times.
The girl also had a brother at the daycare as well.
The Albany County Sheriff says the brother confronted Ferrara, who punched him.
Ferrara is charged with multiple counts of predatory sexual assault.
