Saturday night’s town hall was a pre-taped event, with the candidates supposed to go on stage separately.
Organizers say Lake was supposed to be in a holding room but somehow ended up in the front row.
Many believe this was a stunt to rattle her opponent, Katie Hobbs, because the two could not agree to a one on one debate.
Kari Lake worked as an anchor here at News Channel 13 in the late 1990’s.
Lake won the republican primary for governor in early August.
