The annual Lake George Winter Carnival is getting underway. The first one was held in the winter of 1961. Now over a half-century later, this celebration of all the great Adirondack wintertime outdoor activities continues with four activity-packed weekends during the month of February.
The annual Lake George Winter Carnival is getting underway.
The first one was held in the winter of 1961. Now over a half-century later, this celebration of all the great Adirondack wintertime outdoor activities continues with four activity-packed weekends during the month of February.
The carnival runs Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays from now through March 2.
Some popular events scheduled for this weekend include outhouse races, a polar plunge, and the parade. There’s also a chili cookoff, cupcake decorating, and fireworks.
