Lake Luzerne library to reopen after Drag Queen Story Hour controversy

The Rockwell Falls Public Library in Lake Luzerne says it has hired a new manager and plans to reopen next month.

The Rockwell Falls Public Library in Lake Luzerne says it has hired a new manager and plans to reopen March 1.

The library closed last September, when two-thirds of its staff quit, including the director.

That came after a public meeting where people spoke out against the planned Drag Queen Story Hour, which was ultimately cancelled.

The new manager, Marion Allan, of Hadley, is a former elementary school librarian. She also worked as a clerk at the Rockwell Falls Public Library.
