Spectrum 8 Theatres in Albany is closing.
The movie theater is located on Delaware Avenue, and is owned by Landmark Theatres.
Albany Mayor Kathy Sheehan wrote she is confident the closure will be temporary.
Sheehan is in contact with one of the representatives from one of the prospective parties interested in operating the theatre.
She said in a statement they will work together to make sure the shows continue to go on.
