Volunteers from all five school buildings in the Averill Park School District participated in the 2024 MLK Day of Service.

They made more than 300 bags with much-needed items for men and women.

The bags will be donated to St. Peter’s Health Partners Family Health, and Joseph’s House in Troy.

They also made valentine cards for residents at the Eddy Heritage House Nursing Home in Troy.

Lastly, they baked dog treats and made dog toys and cozy cat beds for the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society in Menands.
