While shopping is the first thing many people think of in Clifton Park. It’s so much more than that, according to Todd Shimkus, with the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce.

“They’ve done an incredible job here in Clifton Park, revitalizing the mall building, a health care sector, all the new hotels. They’ve had real economic growth,” he said. “At the same time, you drive a mile in any direction, and you’re in farmland, you’re in the woods, you’re in the forest, access to the Mohawk River. They’ve preserved open space trails and all that as well.”

There are also restaurants, golf courses, distilleries, breweries and more, Shimkus noted.

With all of that, he also pointed out the big heart that the Clifton Park community has.
