Local company donates over 800 backpacks

Hundreds of local kids are heading back to school with new backpacks and essentials.
Hill and Markes, a local sanitation and food service distributor, announced their annual “Backpack Giveback” on Thursday.
The program will equip 850 students with backpacks and school supplies for the upcoming school year.
The company has donated more than 2,500 backpacks since 2021.
