Niskayuna man competes on ‘American Ninja Warrior’

The new season of “American Ninja Warrior” begins Monday night on NBC. One of the contestants is Geoff Snyder, who lives in Niskayuna and is an art teacher in the Fort Plain Central School District.
There are seven new course obstacles — the most the show has ever introduced in one season. There’s also a new mega-wall that’s half a foot higher, and head-to-head racing for the ninjas to determine each week’s final qualifier.
When it comes down to it, it’s not the course that sells the show, it’s the athletes.
“American Ninja Warrior” returns Monday night at 8 p.m. on NBC.
