Local NY National Guard members participating in humanitarian operation in southern Brazil
More than a dozen members of New York’s National Guard left the U.S. for a humanitarian operation.

15 medical personnel based at the Queensbury armory will participate in a week-long exercise in southern Brazil, to help provide both routine and emergency medical care to soldiers.
The Brazilian army has assigned 1,700 troops to the exercise.
