The owner of Binley Florist in Queensbury, Wally Hirsch, says it’s time to retire.

Binley has been running uninterrupted since 1893. The good news is it will stay open.

The shop, at the corner of Quaker and Dix, has endured two world wars, two pandemics, and multiple recessions.

“I want to thank all of our loyal customers who have supported us throughout these many years. I appreciate the trust placed in us to mark and highlight the events in your lives, and for brightening your homes with the plants and flowers we grew,” said Hirsch.

Tami Field who has worked as the general manager of Binley for 23 years, and her husband David, have taken the helm.

The shop says the customer service you’ve come to know will not change and the staff will remain in place.
