Macy's announced they will be cutting over 2,300 employees and closing five stores in attempt to streamline their operations.

Macy’s plans to cut more than 2,300 jobs and close five stores as it tries to streamline operations.


The department store chain has more than 94,000 full and part-time workers and operates more than 700 stores, including two in the Capital Region.


Macy’s has not yet announced which jobs are being affected.
