Malta’s 14th annual 5k & 10k sprints back into Capital Region
The annual Malta 5k and 10k, which benefits veterans and first responders returned Saturday.

Now in its 14th year, the event has raised well over $300,000 since its inception to support Malta’s emergency first responders and area veteran agencies.
It was held Saturday morning at Hudson Valley Tec-Smart in Malta.
Event founder, Paul Loomis of the roundabout runner’s club said he was excited for this year’s event.
The 10k kicked off Saturday morning at 8:15.
The 5k started at 8:30.
