Man, 20, charged in Troy shooting

A 20-year-old Castleton man has been arrested in connection with a shooting on Friday morning. 

Troy Police received a report of possible shots fired near a residence on 4th Street and St. Luke’s Avenue. Officers responded and interviewed potential witnesses. 

They found evidence of two shots fired and tracked down the suspect, 20-year-old Kaden A. Williams, who police said had a backpack with a loaded illegal gun.  The weapon had been reported stolen from Montgomery County.  

No one was injured.  

Williams was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property. He was set to be arraigned in Tory City Court.
