Man, 74, punched in argument over parking space

An Albany man is accused of punching a 74-year-old man in the face. The men were fighting over a parking space, police said.

It happened just after 5 p.m. Saturday around Delaware Avenue and Stanwix Street, police said.

The victim told police that Darryl Baker, 40, left his vehicle and assaulted him.

Baker was still at the scene when he was arrested, police said. He was charged with second-degree assault.

The victim was treated at Stratton VA Medical Hospital for facial injuries.
