The Berkshire County man accused of setting a Trump 2024 campaign sign on fire is expected to take a plea deal.

The defense team for George Cox said they don’t expect the case to end up in front of a jury, according to NewsChannel 13’s media partners at The Berkshire Eagle.

Police said Cox, of Great Barrington, used gasoline to start the fire. Investigators found the canister nearby and identified Cox’s fingerprints.

He is due back in court on March 18.
