Man accused of slamming door on Albany police officer’s hand
Antiba Alfred, 25, is accused of hitting a woman in the face during a domestic incident and slamming
A person in Albany slammed a door on an officer’s hand during a domestic dispute, they said.
While on patrol, they saw a man hit a woman in the face near Yates and Ontario streets in the city.
An officer intervened and the suspect, Antiba Alfred ran into a home on the 400 block of Yates Street.
That’s when Alfred allegedly slammed the door on the officer’s hand.
Police were able to get a search warrant, and found two handguns in the car.
Alfred now faces several charges, including criminal weapons possession, assault, and more.
He was arraigned on Friday and remanded to the Albany County Jail.
