Man accused of stealing used cooking oil

Man accused of stealing used cooking oil outside a restaurant in North Greenbush.

A Middletown man is accused of stealing cooking oil from a North Greenbush restaurant.

Lenin Sepulveda allegedly took the cooking oil from behind Sadudee Thai Restaurant. The oil had been left to be picked up by a company that purchases it from the restaurant.

Sepulveda turned himself in Aug. 9 on a warrant. He was charged with grand larceny and arraigned in North Greenbush Town Court and released. He is due back in court at a later date.

Cooking oil is a valuable commodity because it can be converted into biofuel.
