Officers responded shortly after 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning for a burglary alarm and when they arrived said they found the suspect, Caval Haylett of Troy, inside the building, along with smoke that was seen inside.

Haylett was arrested and brought to a local hospital to be evaluated.

Troy firefighters extinguished several small fires within the building.

Dinosaur BBQ employees are still trying to determine the extent of the damage.

It is believed the restaurant will be able to reopen Saturday for their regularly scheduled business, Troy police said.

Haylett is being charged with arson, criminal mischief, and burglary and will be arraigned in Troy City Court following a mental health evaluation.
