Man arrested on multiple charges in connection to domestic assault in Pownal, VT

Vermont State Police tell us they arrested Robert J. Love, 47, of Pownal, VT in connection to a domestic assault incident that happened on Main Street in Pownal.
Police say they were dispatched on Friday morning to interview a victim of prior domestic assault.
Upon investigation, Troopers were able to determine multiple signs of bodily injury caused by Love, a household member.
Officials say later in the day, Love turned himself in at the Vermont State Police Shaftsbury Barracks, where he was arrested and processed.
He was charged with the following:
- Three counts of first-degree aggravated domestic assault
- First-degree unlawful restraint
- Interference with access to emergency services
Love was taken to Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility, where he is currently being held without bail.
He is scheduled to appear in Vermont Superior Court Bennington Criminal Division on February 3 at 12:30 p.m.
