Man charged in Pittsfield shooting

A man is facing charges in an early Thursday morning Pittsfield shooting. The shooting happened around 2 a.m., in the Berkshire Crossing parking lot at 555 Hubbard Avenue.

Ryan Starbird, 19, of Pittsfield fired a gun in a car that was in the parking lot, investigators said.

Starbird and another man were both hurt.

Police provided medical aid, and both were taken to Berkshire Medical Center.

Starbird will be taken to court once he’s released from the hospital.
