A guilty verdict was reached in the trial of a man who shot a woman in Pittsfield.

Myron Crapps of Springfield was found guilty of assault and battery.

Back in July 2020, Crapps shot a woman on Kent Avenue.

The victim reported that she confronted a group of men who allegedly sexually propositioned a preteen girl.

Following a brief argument, Crapps got into a vehicle’s passenger side and, as the car was leaving the area, he leaned out of the window and shot the woman three times. Her injuries were not life-threatening.

Crapps will be sentenced on September 28.
