Man in critical condition after Albany shooting

A 24-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot in the chest in Albany. The shooting took place on Tuesday night on First Street between Ontario Street and Quail Street, Albany Police said. The victim walked into the Albany Medical Center emergency room for treatment.

A man has been seriously injured after being shot in the chest in Albany.

The shooting happened around 11 p.m. Tuesday near First Street between Ontario and Quail streets, police said.

The 24-year-old victim showed up at Albany Medical Center emergency room, at which point the hospital called police. At last check, he was in critical condition. Many people live in the area where the shooting happened. It’s unclear if the victim was targeted or not.
