A Washington County grand jury on Thursday morning indicted the man accused of setting the October fire that destroyed a Hudson Falls apartment building and left more than a dozen people without a place to live.
Peter Lemery started the fire inside 11 Maple Street, where he lived, say prosecutors.
The 12-count indictment charges him with arson, reckless endangerment and 10 counts of criminal mischief – one for each of the 10 victims who lost everything in the fire.
During past court appearances, Lemery, 47, has proclaimed his innocence. He faces up to 25 years in prison if he’s found guilty of arson.
